One of the pictures show both the EPAuto and Luftt filter side by side. Luftt has significantly more folds (63 folds) than the EPAuto (19 folds), which means more surface area. This likely helps to avoid the drop in air pressure, which is one of the top complaints in the reviews for the Bosch HEPA filter. I did not notice any change in the airflow or noise after installing the Luftt.

I had zero issues with the installation. In the 2011 Toyota Camry, the filter just slides in without any need to bend the filter. But this probably depends on the car and the Luftt is stiffer than EPAuto, so if your car requires the filter to bend or flex to slide in, it is possible that it is tricker to install.

Overall, I am very satisfied.

I have a 2020 Palisade and was skeptical if it would actually work. It does work! It fits better than the OEM, in my opinion, from the foam on it. We have 15,000 miles on our Palisade and it was starting to smell. This immediately made it smell better!

Exactly as pictured. Seems very high quality, possibly overkill actually. I had it installed, didn’t have time to fuss and fiddle with this project. Mechanic had it installed in less than 30min and even commented on its quality. Just took a road trip and airflow does not seem to be impacted but I think I did notice less outside air smells and inside cabin smells. Could be though that I was just trying to notice. I will say definitely though that when I turned on the AC there was zero smell, where there used to be, even with my 3 month old previous filter. Fitment was perfect. I say 100 percent give it a try.

This replaced a factory GM cabin air filter. It’s much higher quality and has listed particle filtration for varying particle size. Easily worth the cost, especially when you live in areas with higher areas of pollution, or in areas where allergies are problematic. It performs above my expectations.

The ash and smoke from the Bobcat fire in Southern California (Summer 2020) started to mildew in my Model 3 cabin filter, so it was time for a replacement. Decided to get HEPA with carbon cabin filter since air quality here is only getting worse.

Installation is not straightforward, but that’s Tesla’s fault. Watch some YouTube videos on how to change filters before deciding if you want to DIY. It’s not bad, but it does require a Torx 20 bit, removing panels and wire connectors, some dexterity to work under the front passenger dash, a flashlight, and about 45 minutes (including a condenser coil cleaning). For comparison, it’s fairly more involved than changing a ICE engine air filter; so if you wouldn’t change an ICE engine air filter, you’d probably prefer someone else change your Model 3 cabin air filter. With that said, these filters are a good fit, and the take-out tabs are in the right place.

The air smells clean. I don’t have a meter to measure particulate matter in the air, but I don’t smell the smoke and ash from the now-burning Santiago Canyon Fires. For my lungs and my family’s lungs, I glad I went with a HEPA filter.
The usual complaint with using a HEPA filter when the OEM is not HEPA is reduced air flow. I don’t have a air flow meter, but airflow seems to be the same as through the previous (6-month old) OEM filter. As you can see from my photo, it seems to achieve this by having more pleats and therefore surface area than the OEM filter. Since the OEM filter from Tesla didn’t last 6 months with all this smoke and ash, I don’t mind LUFTT’s recommended replacement interval of 6 months. Besides, healthy lungs and the smell of clean fresh air when California is burning down is well worth the small measure of comfort during these difficult times.

This is a premium aftermarket cabin filter when compared to many other sources that are lower in cost and features comparable service benefits. Reason I chose to purchase this filter at greater cost is the claim of HEPA filtration. Examination of the filter media it does appear to be of finer material and greater number of pleats. The media is similar to type used in home air purifiers that are HEPA rated. The HVAC system appears to function as usual with normal airflow. There’s no way to measure if air quality is actually better but if the media is truly HEPA rated the filter should be capturing finer particulates in the circulated air. The filter media does not appear to contain any or as much carbon for odor absorption. The media is pure white as compared to a dark gray color of the oem filter. Have not noticed change in odor quality with this new filter. Since this is a new offering applications seem to be for limited number of vehicles. I’m fortunate that Volvo’s are one of the vehicles the filter is available for. It does fit as a direct replacement on the 2018 Volvo XC60
